Lately I’ve been lacking of motivation for my blog and I think that’s commonly referred to as “blogger’s block”; so me and the lovely blogger Steph are going to share with you 5 tips each to overcome the block and find your inspiration again.
You can read her pieces of advice on her blog “Steph’s World”.
Sometimes it’s totally normal to lose the ways and feel a bit lost about your blog; you don’t know what to write about, you can’t find anything interesting, you feel like you have no purpose and that you don’t get enough views, likes, comments..
It’s totally normal to feel this ways, it happens to a lot of us, but it’s just temporary and the important thing is to remember not to give up.
Follow our tips to overcome this kind of dark moments:
READ YOUR ARCHIVES AND OTHER PEOPLE’S BLOGS
No, I’m not telling you to copy other bloggers’ articles, but why not take inspiration from them to start your own post? There’s nothing bad about it as long as you let them know and mention them in your post.
You could also review your archives and old posts, you could rewrite one of them or deepen a certain aspect.
CHANGE PROSPECTIVE AND ENVIRONMENT
If you’re stuck and don’t know what to write about and how, try changing prospective and environment.
Sometimes writing from another point of view will totally change the article an make it unique and original; try going out to a friend’s house or to a coffee shop and blog there, in this way you’ll feel a fresher, new, exciting vibe around you.
FIND INSPIRATION IN YOUR DAILY LIFE
Anything can be a good idea for an article. Look through magazines to find beauty and fashion inspiration; talk with your friends and ask their opinion; write about your favorite things of the moment; find out ideas from movies and tv series..
COLLABORATE WITH OTHER BLOGGERS
We’re a community so why don’t you take advantage of this ask for help to your fellow bloggers?
There are so many ways you can collaborate: interviews, guest posts, a link party, mastermind groups..
This way you’ll have new content and you’ll meet new people while also advertising your blog. It’s the simplest thing but it comes with so many perks.
TAKE A BREAK
There’s nothing wrong with taking a break from time to time; concentrate about something else, develop a hobby, watch a movie and go for a walk.
Your break can last as long as you want and it will provide you a new prospective, new ideas and you will rediscover the beauty and fun of blogging.
So these are my pieces of advice to overcome the blogger’s block; what are your tips and tricks to always stay motivated and find new content for your blog?
Share it with us on the comments!

Il definitely be collaborating with more bloggers this year for sure!

Something that I have learned to do is if you have an idea for a post, even if your not sure about it, write it down. This helps so much! I am a space cadet and am always brain farting so this really saves me 🙂 Awesome post!

Thanks for sharing this advice. I felt like I was going through a bad funk and I didn’t know what to do. I hate when I go through a funk because I get stuck in it for to long and cant get out. I will remember this for next time.

It’s great that you’ve included a tip about getting inspiration from your daily life. I always say that I’m inspired from watching some of my favourite TV shows such as Sherlock and Utopia. My favourite music can also help, too.
I also think current affairs can inspire you, too. I often get ideas for my Friday Article posts from the latest political news, and the latest music releases are essential to my Musical Discovery series.
As for looking through archived posts, I don’t think I like that idea too much, haha. ‘The Life of a Thinker’ in 2012 was very, very embarrassing… *facepalm*
I shall be keeping this handy in case I need it in the future – thanks!

I completely agree. It ties in to your point about perspective, too. Rather than dismiss something from daily life, think about it differently and you may just have a new blog post idea.

I definitely feel like that sometimes. Also a good idea is repurposing old posts. You can add to them and change pics to give a fresh look.
