At the end of July|beginning of August I escaped from University worries, paleness and boredom to spend a beautiful, sunny, fun and carefree week in the isle of Ortigia, which is the historical centre of Syracuse (Sicily, Italy).
I’ve always wanted to go to Sicily, more specifically to Syracuse because there is one of the most beautiful seas of Italy.
From Venice to Catania the flight was brief, about an hour and an half, and from there we proceeded by car.
One thing I’ve learnt from this vacation is that you either go there by car or rent a car there, because the various beaches are quite far from each other and, believe me, you can’t rely on public transportation.
What I loved about my vacation is the sea and the food, it’s a tie.
