My Summer Minimal Makeup

It’s been a while since I started using these Trust Fund Beauty* products and I was immediately impressed by their colors, pigmentation and beauty.

I waited for a long time to write this post because first, Spring really didn’t wanna show up here in Italy and second, I’ve been in Brazil for 3 amazing weeks.

These products have been a big part of my Spring/Summer makeup, which is very minimal; in fact, when it’s so hot I don’t like to wear a ton of makeup – honestly I never do, but even more so during these seasons.

I don’t wear a base other than my moisturizer, which is the FrezyDerm cream; I don’t use a foundation or my usual BB cream.
I use this moisturizer very often and it is part of my skin care routine, along with other amazing products – look out for my Updated Skin Care post that will be coming your way very soon!
I focus a lot on eyes and lips, with a bit of contouring and highlighting.

Trust Fund Beauty sells beautiful, colorful and fun beauty products, from nail polishes to eyeshadows to lipglosses.
The packaging is very pretty and elegant.

I love a bold lip and shiny cheek bones; while during the Autumn I  often use my burgundy Kat Von D liquid lipstick or my deep purple Sephora lipstick, during sunny seasons I love a bright red or a pinkish tone.

In the photo you can see the That Liquid Glow Tho liquid highlighter, the “lipgasm” in Liquid Sex, and the “lipgasm” in Unprofessional.
I absolutely love the names that brand give to products, am I the only one?

The highlighter gives you a golden shine and sometimes I also use it as eye shadow.
The liquid lipstick has a semi-glossy finish, meaning that it doesn’t dry up completely, leaving your lips shiny and moisturized, while lasting several hours; the lipgloss is really pretty and subtle, perfect for an everyday makeup.

For the eyes I often use my Seventeen Birthday Suit eye palette, which has a lot of rose/brown/golden tones, which I absolutely love using and experimenting with.

When I want a pop of color, like when I went out at nights in Brazil, I use my Trust Fund Beauty Evil Eye eye shadow.
It is a beautiful electric blue and since it is such a bright and outstanding color, I only apply it on my bottom lash and using only earth tones on my eye lid.
This eyeshadow is in loose powder and it really easy to apply and to blend. The color is very vibrant and stands out in any makeup look.

Here are the products I usually – meaning always – use:

Since I don’t use my BB cream which contains SPF, it is important to use sunscreen to protect my skin from UV rays, even though I often forget to apply it before my makeup.

For my lashes I use the Benefit They’re Real mascara, which I bought as a mini format because I was looking for a new mascara after finishing my Labo one, and I must say that I totally fell in love with it.
The applicator is perfect for me and it catches every lash, leaving them super black, long and full.

My eyebrows don’t need a lot of maintenance but just a little filling, and for that I use the Kiko Milano eyebrow pencil.
This pencil is really easy to use and it also has a little brush, to help you distribute the product, blend it, and style your eyebrows.

Now my favourite: my Kat Von D Shade + Light contouring palette. It is A M A Z I N G.
It is in powder, has 3 highlighting shades and 3 different brown ones; they are really pigmented and you don’t have to apply a huge amount of product to obtain a perfect contour, but you can progressively built it with the different shades, according to the makeup look you are creating.
This palette is available at Sephora and it is quite expensive, but it’s totally worth it and lasts a looot of time.

I often use the contouring palette to create a neutral and natural look on my eyes, applying one of the light shades, usually the banana-like one, on the lids and the darkest brown on the outer corner.

The blush I’m using lately is from Essence and it is Satin Touch Blush. It’s a beautiful light coral, which gives a really natural effect.

This blue and red combo is definitely a lot and it’s not what I normally wear, but I decided to experiment a bit solely for demonstration purposes.

I don’t use many products for my everyday makeup but I always like to try new brands and combinations out.

  3. It looks like you’re quite smart in choosing beauty and skin care products. I’ve not been a big fan of using moisturizers and been stick to BB cream. Now I’ll surely give it a try to see whether or not I get the result what I see here,

  4. Wow! How amazing do you look with a red lip?! The bold colours really work well on you, you look gorgeous! It works really well with a subtle touch of blue on the eyes as well, I think the experimentation went really well! I’ve heard so many amazing things about the Kat Von D contour palette, you’re right that it is quite expensive but after seeing so many positive reviews, I might have to invest! Hope you’re having an amazing summer!

    1. I wasn’t sure about the glossy finish too but it really depends on the total look you’re going for and I guess I don’t mind a bit of shine from time to time 😉
