My new babe: Bardot radio

Hi everyone! I’m so sorry to have disappeared for two weeks, it truly feels like forever, but due to technique problems I wasn’t able to post anything.

But don’t fear, today for you I have an amazing new review and I think a lot of view will fall in love with my new toy: my Bardot radio.

With inspiration from the latest fashion and design trends “Bardot” is packed full of features with superior sound quality and a effortlessly chic look.

This radio is from View Quest and it is from their vintage range and as you can see it’s “handbag” styled.

You could think that such a décor piece would be difficult to fit in a house with a different style, but thanks to its colors, it’s in fact black and white, and to its timeless, elegant yet simple design it’s perfect for any room.

It’s light and not very big so you can pack it with you or fit in a small space.

It’s made with leather, plastic and metal; it’s compact and resistant, with a clean and soft line.

It has many settings and although at first it can be difficult to master them all, after some minutes of playing with it I could figure out all its options; the ones I find the most useful are:

  • You can connect your smartphone via Bluetooth to the radio and listen to your own music
  • You can preset your favorite radio stations so it will be easier to find and listen to them
  • You have both FM and DAB options; FM works in any country and it’s exactly like any other radio, DAB is a more immediate and simple way to find stations, in fact the radio will scan the zone you live in search for preset radio stations and you’ll be able to go through and listen to them.
  • You can set two different alarms, including their time, date (once, weekdays, weekends) and tone (the last station you listened to or a specific one)
  • You can download the View Quest app with which you can control the radio
  • You can use it to charge your phone
  • You can connect your mp3 to the USB door in the back of the radio

You can do many, many things with this device and I’ll leave you to discover all the others; for now I’ll just limit myself in telling you my experience.

The quality of the radio itself is very high, it’s very well-made and pretty and the sound is loud & clear and actually quite perfect, either you listen to the radio or your own playlists.
It happened only a couple of times that the radio couldn’t find enough signal and the sound was disturbed but then I moved the antenna around and it went back to perfection.

You obviously need to find the most adapt spot in your house, bedroom or office, where the signal is at its highest level and you also need to point the antenna in the right direction; speaking of it, the antenna can be shortened and hidden in the back of the radio.

I have to be honest with you. If I could have chosen I wouldn’t have chosen this model, on the website there are many beautiful pieces and I would have opted for a different one but I’m very lucky and glad I got to test this one.

I use it while I do my makeup or while I’m reading a book lying on the bed. I – unfortunately – use it to wake up in the morning when I have to go to the university or – much a happier event – when I have breakfast out with my mom or my boyfriend.

You can use it at any occasion and show it off to your friend, who will be so jealous because it’s beautiful.

Knowing that even though it’s a British product it works just fine in other countries as well is very comforting and just another reason I’m writing this review; wherever you are in the world you can be sure you’ll be able to listen to one of the View Quest radios.

I’ve had it for almost a week now and I’ve already set my favorite stations: Deejay, RDS and Company.

And I’ve played my playlists straight from my cell phone to the radio; the songs I’m loving at the moment are:

Still Falling For You – Ellie Goulding

You & Me – Marc E. Bassy

Cold Water – Justin Bieber

Too Good – Drake

What do you think of my new addition? Do you like the radio and would you buy it?

What are your favorite stations in your countries and which songs are you loving and dancing to at the moment? Tell me in the comments below!

    1. I didn’t use to listen to the radio at all before trying this one and now I listen to it every morning when I wake up, because I use it as alarm and because I found out that I just enjoy listening to it, it makes me start my day in a better way.
I also listen to it reading a nice book and drinking some tea.
I highly suggest it, excellent quality and a perfect piece of home decor 🙂
