Let’s go back to school!

The Summer has passed – more or less quickly – and September is here, which means falling leaves, hot beverages, pumpkin everything and fur coats… But most of all: it’s time to go back to school (or work).

I haven’t attended a class in quite some time as I’m currently working on my thesis and planning to graduate from university in March 2020, after 5 long, exhausting, interesting, educative in more ways than imagined, unexpected years.
I study Innovation and Marketing, and before that my Bachelor’s Degree is in Foreign Trade.
During these 5 years, and the many before them, I’ve “learned” how to best exploit my potential, take notes, study for a test; and I’ve come to some realizations.

But to be honest, it has been a trial-and-error process, with tons of errors; but luckily, you might be able to learn from my mistakes and find some useful insights in this post.

Easy and Handy Guide for Rio De Janeiro

Last year, during Spring (Spring here in Italy, Autumn in Brasil), I’ve gone to my beloved Brasil on vacation with my mother.
I’ve been there in 2014 but during those weeks I didn’t visit as many places as I wanted to, so this time I had to do it right and wander throughout the city as much as I could.

Although it was Autumn there still were 40°C, so I got a nice tan, went swimming in the ocean, and wore all my Summer outfits – all while sweating as if I were in a sauna.

This is exactly why I recommend you visiting Brasil during Spring and Autumn, when it’s still hot and sunny, but it won’t suffocate you and make you risk instant self-combustion.

THE BEACHES

 COPACABANA

Copacabana beach is definitely the most fun and crowded one – other than the most famous and popular one – and even if it was Autumn is was very very – have I already said VERY? – hot in Rio so I spent a lot of time sunbathing and swimming. One thing to be careful of are the waves, they’re really strong and tall, which doesn’t make swimming very easy but rather quite dangerous if you wander too far off.

365 Days Perfect Nails – My favourite brands

If you’ve followed and read my blog, then you definitely know that I’m a sucker for nail polishes. I love taking care of my nails and I like them always looking sleek.

CHECK OUT: MY NAIL RECOVERY JOURNEY

During the Spring and Summer I tend to step away from my beloved burgundy and deep red, which are my go-to choices for the colder seasons, and pick more lively colors like white, light pink, orange, purple, light blue and mint.

There are different brands that I like and that I’ve discovered with time.
To me a nail polishes have to be smooth, have a good coverage, be shiny and don’t chip easily.

My favourite brands and colors are:

Creativity on-the-go: My Brasil Vacation

This year my grandma turned 80 and for this special occasion me and my mom decided to travel across continents and the ocean to go and visit her and our family in Brasil.

My Brazilian heritage is very important to me and I always say that I’m way closer to that side of me rather than to the Italian one. I love Italy and I consider it one of the most stunning countries on earth, but Brasil definitely holds a big part of my heart.
The people, the culture, the music, the food, the places, the art.. I love absolutely everything about it.

While in Brasil I tried to paint, doodle and draw as much as I could – I also had to study but that didn’t go as well as the rest.

My Summer Minimal Makeup

It’s been a while since I started using these Trust Fund Beauty* products and I was immediately impressed by their colors, pigmentation and beauty.

I waited for a long time to write this post because first, Spring really didn’t wanna show up here in Italy and second, I’ve been in Brazil for 3 amazing weeks.

These products have been a big part of my Spring/Summer makeup, which is very minimal; in fact, when it’s so hot I don’t like to wear a ton of makeup – honestly I never do, but even more so during these seasons.

Confessions in an Old English style

Saying I’ve been absent is one huge understatement, but I’m sorry (not sorry) to tell you that probably I’ll vanish into the thin air again and I’ll keep doing that.
Life goes on, priorities change and my ability to multitask has seriously gotten worse with time.
I graduated, started a new university, done exams, went to a beautiful vacation to Brazil with my mom (do not worry, a post telling you everything about it won’t delay), and procrastinated very much.
I won’t tell you I’ll be consistent from now on, but I will tell you that I’ll write about the things I like, as always, when I’ll find them and I’ll think you’ll like them too; because that’s what blogging is for me.
No rush, no expectation, no comparison to other amazing blogs and bloggers – no need for even more anxiety, am I right?

Now that the “confessions” part has been dealt with, how about the Old English style?
